Anahi DeCanio at Naula Custom Furniture Booth - Architectural Digest Design Show NYC
BIO BRIEF
Anahi DeCanio is an award-winning, multidisciplinary artist and the Creative Director of ArtyZen Studios. Her work is represented by numerous galleries and is part of private and corporate collections throughout the United States and internationally. Born in Uruguay and arriving in New York as a young child, DeCanio brings a rich and layered cultural perspective to her artistic practice.
Her abstract paintings are rooted in an intuitive process, guided more by emotion than form. Whether influenced by the vibrant pulse of urban life or the contemplative calm of Zen-inspired landscapes, her work is consistently centered on transmitting positive energy and creating an emotional connection with the viewer.
DeCanio has exhibited extensively in solo and group exhibitions at prestigious institutions, including the Boca Raton Museum of Art, Brown University, the Palm Beach Armory, Art Basel Miami, the National Steinbeck Center, and the Greenwich Art Society. She regularly shows her work in the Hamptons and the North Fork of New York, where she is represented in several well-regarded venues.
In addition to her fine art practice, DeCanio has contributed to the design world through her involvement in high-profile residential and commercial projects, as well as her participation in philanthropic efforts and nationally recognized designer showhouses. Her work reflects a deep appreciation for the intersection of art, design, and wellness.
She was honored as a featured artist by the White House Fellows program in Washington, D.C., and held a solo exhibition at the Consulate General of Uruguay in New York City. She is also the founder of eARThHamptons, an art and design platform dedicated to sustainability and environmental awareness.
DeCanio’s work has been featured in The New York Times, Time Magazine, Robb Report, Mansion Global, and other prominent publications. Her art has also appeared in numerous films and television productions. Most recently, her work is on view at Luminary’s New York City space.
